PsychBreak therapists are experienced in a range of therapy techniques, and we work with clients to find the best fit for their needs. Skills-based approaches to therapy are used to relieve symptoms, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, distress tolerance, and mindfulness techniques. We also help our clients address long term issues in order to understand the cause of their pain and adopt new patterns to prevent further suffering, using techniques from existential, psychodynamic, narrative, and drama therapy. The balance between short-term relief and long-term care is determined by collaboration between each client and the therapist.
